Quick answers about the Rituals app. If yours is not here, write to hello@rituals.team. We usually reply within two working days, and faster for safety.
Signing in
- Rituals signs you in with a 6-digit code sent to your email, or with Apple on an iPhone. There is no password to remember.
- No code? It comes from hello@rituals.team and can take a minute. Check spam and other folders. When the countdown on the screen ends, tap Resend code.
- New phone? Sign in with the same email, or with Apple again, and your profile, plans and chats are there. To bring back a Pass, see Rituals Pass.
Booking and cancelling
- Find a ritual in the Rituals tab or on the Map and book a seat. A free seat is usually confirmed at once; sometimes the host approves the request first, and you hear back in the app. A paid seat is held for 10 minutes while you pay by card. Some hosts ask you to sign their waiver before your first session with them.
- When a session is full, join the waitlist. On a paid session you save a card and pay only if you get a seat; we tell you the moment it happens.
- Your seats are in the Plans tab. At the session, show your QR code to the host.
- To cancel, open the booking in Plans and tap Cancel my seat. The booking shows until when cancelling is free, and your seat goes to the waitlist. What comes back is in the Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
- When a host cancels or changes a date you booked, you always get a notification about it, even if you turned the other kinds off in the app, as long as your phone allows notifications from Rituals.
Payments and refunds
- Seats are paid by card through Stripe. Rituals never sees your full card number.
- When the host cancels a date, or a water or wind session is called off for the conditions, you get everything back, booking fee included. The details are in the Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
- Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with, automatically. Your bank usually shows them within 5 to 10 working days.
- A charge you do not recognise, or a refund that has not arrived? Write to us with the date and the name of the ritual.
Rituals Pass
- You buy the Pass in the app: You tab → Rituals Pass. The monthly and yearly plans renew automatically; the Trip plan is a single payment for two weeks. The App Store or Google Play charges you and handles renewals.
- To cancel a monthly or yearly plan, open your subscriptions in the App Store or in Google Play. The Pass stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your Rituals account does not cancel the subscription.
- New phone or reinstalled the app? Open the Pass screen and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought it with.
- Refunds of Pass payments are decided by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (Google Play refunds).
Hosting
- To host, go to the You tab → Host rituals. A peer host runs free rituals as part of the crew; costs such as a court can be split and paid on site. A pro host can also take payment in the app and is paid out through Stripe.
- To be paid in the app, set up payouts in the Earnings tab. Stripe asks for your identity and bank details. Free and pay-on-site rituals can be published without payouts.
- Need to cancel a date that has guests booked? Write to us and we will cancel it; guests get a full refund.
- The rules for hosts are in the Host Terms.
Safety, reports and blocks
- In danger right now? Call 112 (anywhere in the EU), then tell us.
- Report a person from their profile, a message by long-pressing it in a chat, someone after a session, or a crew photo. A moderator looks within 24 hours. We never tell anyone who reported them.
- Block someone from their profile. They are not told. You stop seeing each other, and they cannot book rituals you are on.
- Tips for meeting people safely are on the Safety page; what is allowed is in the Community Guidelines.
Your account
- Change your photos, bio and details in the You tab → Edit profile.
- Your gender or birthday is wrong and the app will not let you change it? Write to us with the subject "My gender or birthday on Rituals".
- Choose which notifications you get in the You tab → Notifications, including quiet hours.
- If your account is paused or closed, the app shows why. You can appeal once from that screen; someone who was not involved in the decision answers within 30 days.
- To delete your account, go to the You tab → Delete account, or use rituals.team/delete-account without the app.
