Delete your account
Last updated 28 October 2026
You can delete your Rituals account and its data at any time: in the app, on this page without the app, or by email.
In the app
- Open Rituals and go to the You tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out, and the deletion starts straight away.
On this page
Sign in with the email address of your account; we send it a 6-digit code.
Your account is being deleted. Your profile is gone already; your photos, messages and sign-in are removed within 24 hours. If you use the app, it signs you out.
Deleting on this page is not available right now. Use the app or write to us (below).
By email
Write to hello@rituals.team with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address of your account. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, this is the way to go. A suspended account can be deleted on this page or by email too. We may ask you to confirm it is you, and we delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Straight away: your profile (name, photos on your profile, bio, prompts and details), your private details (birthdate, gender, what you are looking for), sports levels, picks, connections, chat memberships, push tokens and health data (Pulse). Upcoming seats are cancelled under the usual cancellation rules and given to the waitlist.
- Within 24 hours: your photos and other files, selfie check files, crew photos you added, your messages, recorded routes and your sign-in.
- If you host, your rituals are archived and your host name becomes "Deleted host". If you host upcoming sessions with guests booked, write to us first and we will cancel them (guests get a full refund).
What we keep
- Bookings, payments, refunds and signed waivers: up to 10 years, as the law requires for accounting and to answer legal claims. Your profile is gone, but these records keep what they recorded: the name you typed on a waiver, your account's ID number in payment records, and payment reference numbers.
- Reports you made or that were made about you: up to 3 years after the case is closed.
- Device and network records: up to 180 days; the identifier of a phone that was banned stays as long as the ban.
- Usage events: kept without your account for up to 24 months.
- Payments with Stripe and the Rituals Pass with Apple, Google and RevenueCat are also recorded by those companies under their own policies. Cancel a Pass subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings: deleting the account does not stop the store from charging it.
